OK – here I go – I’m taking the “Get Dressed Challenge – A.K.A. No More Frumpy” from Sarah Mae’s blog - Like a Warm Cup of Coffee.
In doing so, I agree to get up and get dressed, by 8 AM {ouch!} for the week … just for this week … I’m rising {literally} to the challenge and blogging my journey.
.
To prepare for the challenge I took a look in the mirror {amazing what you’ll find there}. To my surprise I saw my hair was sprouting a whole new color {that would be grey}. How did I overlook this? However, I DO know I’m not overdue for a haircut because on my #?# birthday I decided to book haircut appointments in ADVANCE – and relieve myself the stress of calling at the last minute for a cut. {novel idea} So all I had to do was color my hair and *wallah* now it all matches.
Mark that one off my list. Besides, it’s Easter weekend.
Now – getting dressed {around the house} for ME does not include shoes. As much as I like Fly Lady I can’t go there with the getting ‘dressed to my shoes’ thing. I’m a southern girl and I like to go barefoot. Winter’s passed and the socks are off – so I got a pedicure.
Besides, it’s Easter weekend.

One more thing – to prepare for the challenge, I’m going to need clean clothes. You guessed it! I spent Saturday afternoon doing MY laundry. Does anyone else put their own laundry last on the list?
OK – now I’m ready to roll. After Easter weekend is over and Monday morning strikes, I mean dawns {did I mention Monday’s are hard for me?} at least I’ll have clean clothes, cute toes and hair that’s all the same color. I also stocked up on coffee – think I’ll need some.
I’m seeing it already. Wana join me?

I followed you over
Love your blog…but had to say when I clicked on your profile from my comments….my first thought was GREAT HAIR!!! ROFL So now you have pretty toes to match that fab hair!
Good luck this week- I know I’m going to need it!
Oh, that’s funny – thanks. It’s easy to get out of the habit and we all can use the encouragement to ‘step up’ in this area. I know, I can.
As I was considering this, I thought, “Well, it surely can’t be THAT difficult!” My daily schedule calls for me to be dressed at 7:30 AM each weekday. But then, I can’t recall when the last time was that I was actually dressed at that hour. I think it’s a great idea and will accept your challenge and even blog about it. For One Week. : )
Yea! I’m so glad you’re joining – I was hoping you’d do this with me.
How hard can 1 week be, right???
So glad you are giving it a go! By the way, love the color of that toe nail polish…
This post came at a perfect time for me! I have recently been reading “Fly Lady” and have been reflecting on how I present myself at home (I am the queen of yoga pants). I accept the challenge! PS: I agree with you, as a Southern girl barefoot is the way for me too. Good Luck this week! Blessings
Danielle,
Woohoo! Glad you’re in. However, I imagine Sam thinks you’re pretty cute in those ‘yoga pants’ and bare feet – that’s hard to improve on.
I love this Debi. Definitely something I need to be better at. Morning school time in jammies is just so comfy!
But I know it’s not the best choice, so here I go…accepting the challenge! Thanks for the transparency. I love every post!
