Barreling down the 2-lane state highway at 7-ish this morning – on his way to a pastor’s deer hunt/retreat – my husband looked up to see the deer as he slammed into it at full speed. He called to tell me he’s “OK”…the truck’s being towed away…and it’s a “9 – pointer“!
He says he’s “fine” and thanking the Lord for His protection! I’ll be glad to see him and assess his definition of “fine“. We have good insurance and trucks are replaceable.
Now … why do I care how many horns the deer had? Is this significant? Oh yea, it always is to a deer hunter, and to the boys who’ll hear this story for years to come.
We’re all praising the Lord for His divine protection! And I’m remembering being kissed, “goodbye” in the wee hours of the morning…

Wow! Definitely a nice tale for him to share with the guys.
Glad he is safe.
So thankful he is ‘fine’!
More hunting goodby kisses still to come. Thank you, Lord.
